The port complex of Paraná is the most efficient in Brazil per linear meter of quay. In addition, the port of Paranaguá is the leading exporter of vegetable oil and frozen chicken, and importer of barley and fertilizer.

Among the main distinctions in the port complex of Paraná there is the grain shipping model in a pool system, unique in Brazil, and the fact that the cargo can be shipped simultaneously in the three docking berths exclusively for bulk cargoes.
